Did you buy the Box version or the OEM version and how much did it cost? I have Vista installed but i use it just to play games and study .Net programing because Linux is my default OS. My professor has Windows 7 installed on his laptop in which hardware is equivalent to a 486 and i was impressed to see the system running on it smoothly!!

Thanks in advance :)

I'm a studying physics at a university that provides us students with windows versions for free :D
so I have to say, that I didn't buy it and it did cost 0€, I'm afraid :D
lucky me, as a student I'm not too rich :phew:

I got windows 7 ultimate and have been using for 2 months, only beef i have is with playing high end games that run direct x 9, win 7 is direct x 11 and there are some backward compatibility issues, otherwise its good, not great but good, using 64 bit edition too.

Its good, only thing that confused me on the 64 bit version is the separate x86 folder that win7 likes to save everything to, if your not aware when installing games it will install there instead of c program files. You have to manually change the destination from c program files x86 to just c program files.I installed a game to x86 and it would not play, so i realised it was in the wrong destination folder for backwards compatibility of dx11 to dx9.Hope that made sense and help you a bit.
