technical stuff:
planet texture created in adobe photoshop cs2
spherized in 3ds max 9
lower part is a photomanipulation (sxc.hu)
upper part created from scratch except for clouds
shuttles are drawn by me
no moon
time: I think 10 hours, but I'm not sure
special thanks to *creativegrafix for his time and comment
I know, the title does not fit at first glance, but I think, it really puts the cat into focus

When you are choosing your wallpaper, I find it always helps that an image not only looks striking but also blends nicely with your theme and has plenty of negative space for desktop clutter. Starlit Night by ~gucken fullfills all this and more in my opinion. One hell of a classy wallpaper here. (Featured by $zilla774)
